Model of the Month Contest; Club Contest and Gallery Day Tri-State Scale Modelers is an International Plastic Modeler’s Society (IPMS) chartered club dedicated to the fun of Scale Modeling. We strive to provide a friendly place for model builders of all skill levels. Our members model aircraft, cars, trucks, military and emergency vehicles, ships, spacecraft, figures and busts and other subjects. We have monthly raffles and model contests with prizes. We also provide a safe and encouraging place for young modelers to begin or improve their model building skills.
In 1993, we became an IPMS chapter and continue to meet regularly at the American Legion Home on 405 Northern Ave, Hagerstown, MD. We completely restructured the club in 2011 and now average about thirty (30) people per meeting with seasonal fluctuations. We also take road trips to other contests, conventions, shows and places of interest to modelers. We update these pages monthly, often more frequently (Contests, Events and Model Gallery particularly). Boys and girls, women and men of all ages with similar modeling interests are encouraged to attend. So, check back often and thanks for visiting us.
